ISO 27001

Definition

ISO 27001 is an international standard for information security management systems, against which an organisation can be certified by an accredited body.

Unlike SOC 2 it results in a certificate. Like SOC 2, claiming it before an auditor has signed anything is a meaningful misrepresentation, and one that enterprise buyers check.
