Salesforce Enterprise is $175 per seat per month for CRM alone, on a required annual contract. Version X is €499 a month for five seats and includes nine modules plus an AI chief of staff. Salesforce is the better choice above roughly a few hundred seats; below that you are paying for scale you will not use.

Salesforce runs organisations of tens of thousands of seats with regional data models and deep territory management. Version X is built for companies of 5 to 100. If you expect to be past a few hundred seats inside two years, that is a real argument for Salesforce.
AppExchange has an app for almost anything, and there is a global market of certified implementation partners. If your requirement is unusual and already solved by somebody on AppExchange, that is worth a lot.
Salesforce ships vertical clouds for financial services, health and others, with data models built for those industries’ regulation. We have nothing equivalent.
Salesforce Enterprise gives you a CRM. Support, finance, contracts and HR are separate licences or separate vendors, each billing per seat. Version X is one number for the whole operational stack.
Migration is done by Ori and included from the Scale tier, rather than being a separately quoted partner project. That is the single biggest hidden cost in a Salesforce rollout at this company size.

When you expect to pass a few hundred seats, when you need an industry-specific data model Salesforce already ships, or when an AppExchange app already solves a requirement that would otherwise be custom work. Those are real reasons and we would rather you knew them now.
